Rīgas MK is renamed the state company REMUS (Rīga Electrical-Installation Company).

1993-1994
REMUS’s employees reconstruct two 220/110 kV substations in Russia, in the Rjazanya district.

27 January, 1995
Reconstruction is completed on the runway and lighting system at the Rīga International Airport. REMUS performs the airport’s light-signal system with the German company Deutsche Aerospace AG.

1995
REMUS, commissioned by AS Ventspils nafta, completes the first substation reconstruction since Latvia’s regaining of independence, setting up equipment by company AEG.

The state company REMUS is privatised by its employees, and the company acquires a new name: the energy-system installation and construction stock company AS REMUS.

Collaboration is initiated with SIA Latvijas Mobilais Telefons in the construction of a mobile-communication base station.

Construction of an energy-supply system for the Sigulda bobsleigh and luge track complex.

1997
AS REMUS joins the Latvian Energy Construction Association (LEBA).

1997
REMUS completes refurbishment of the 110 kV Sloka Substation.

1998
REMUS conducts refurbishment of the Ieriķi Substation, and receives a prize for labour quality in the reconstruction of electrical equipment, in the LEBA competition “Year’s Best Construction Site and Best Project.”

1998
REMUS collaborates with the Danish company Per Aarsleff in the refurbishment of water-pipes and sewerage systems in Mālpils, Ilūkste, Lubāna, Kuldīga, Saldus, and Saulkrasti.

REMUS and the company Alstom commence reconstruction work on Latvia’s oldest electrical station, HES-1, in Ķegums.

1999
REMUS and the consulting company Zygon Baltic Consulting begin the implementation of a quality-management system, in accordance with the standard LVS EN ISO 9002:1994.

1999
REMUS builds a closed-type 110/10 kV transformer substation in Ventspils, the “Venta,” and in Rīga, the “Hanza,” setting up equipment by the firms Siemens and ABB.

Bureau Veritas Quality International certifies the REMUS quality-management system in accordance with the requirements of standard ISO 9002:1994.

REMUS constructs a medium-pressure arterial gas pipe in Daugavpils, the first since Latvia’s regaining of independence, for gas supply to a boiler room.

REMUS constructs the Ādaži High School’s sports and assembly hall, simultaneously reconstructing the heating and ventilation systems.
