The Energy Construction Trust, the precursor to REMUS, is established; the Trust includes Rīga’s Construction and Installation Administration (Rīgas CMP), which is formed on the basis of the Augstsprieguma tīkls Capital Construction Division. The organisation’s three main tasks are as follows: the construction and reconstruction of substations; the construction of electro-transmission lines, consisting of raised electrical lines and cables; and the construction of residential buildings, industrial bases, and other industrial sites.

1962
Rīgas CMP constructs its first large project – a 110 kV line from the Vairogs Substation to TEC-1.

1 March, 1965
Rīgas CMP is renamed Rīga’s Mobile Mechanised Brigade (Rīgas PMK).

1968
Rīgas PMK begins to lay 110 kV oil cables. The first five-kilometre-long cable line is laid, stretching from the Vairogs Substation to Rīgas VRES, at Andrejsala.

1964-1970
125 MWA transformers, with a total capacity of 1,000 MWA, are installed at the Krustpils Substation, at the Rīga TEC, in Brocēni, Daugavpils, and Bišuciems.

1970
Rīgas PMK completes the construction of a cable line to the Vairogs Substation, as well as a cable line to the Rīga HES, at a length of 4.9 km., using oil cables.
